We are developing a next-generation aircraft with a focus on adversary training services, designed to help train our forces for the threats of the present and future. Our first prototype is in development and built for flexibility—software-defined, dual-use, capable of both piloted and autonomous flights. While we do not disclose specifics, adversary air is the first market we are addressing.We are looking for a director of business development to drive customer engagement, navigate DoD procurement pathways, and secure contracts with the Air Force, Navy, and Marine Corps. This role requires a deep network in defense aviation and a track record of successfully winning and executing government contracts.This is a high-autonomy, high-impact role where you will define and execute the strategy to bring a disruptive aerospace capability to market. What You'll Do
Lead business development efforts, engaging directly with decision-makers in defense aviation programs
Develop and execute a contract acquisition strategy focused on adversary training and related services
Navigate DoD procurement pathways, including adversary air programs, training contracts, and innovation initiatives
Establish strategic partnerships with defense primes, subcontractors, and key industry stakeholders
Lead proposal development, RFP responses, and contract negotiations
Work with internal teams to align product development with customer needs
Identify and secure funding opportunities through DoD programs such as AFWERX, SBIR, and OTA agreements
What We're Looking For
Extensive network in the defense sector, particularly within DoD, USAF, and USN procurement channels
Track record of successfully securing government contracts for aviation, training, or defense technology
Deep understanding of defense procurement cycles, including adversary air programs and innovation pathways
Experience working with adversary training providers, private military aviation contractors, or DoD flight operations
Ability to develop proposals, respond to RFPs, and negotiate complex defense contracts
Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to define and execute a go-to-market strategy
Familiarity with FAA and military airworthiness certification pathways for contractor-operated aircraft
