Building the Future of Aviation. One Aircraft at a Time

We're building a family of next-generation jets that burn 50% less fuel, extend time between overhauls by 3×, and look like an alien technology. Starting with advanced military training jets today, we're paving the way for affordable personal jets for every household.

Sorian is an advanced aircraft manufacturing company based in Southern California.America was once the pioneer of aeronautics manufacturing, the birthplace of legendary corporations and airliners. The nation that gave the world the Boeing 747, the SR-71 Blackbird, the F-117 Nighthawk, and the ubiquitous Cessna 172. We were the leaders—setting the standards, breaking records, and turning dreams into reality. We soared higher and faster than anyone else. We didn't just lead the aviation industry; we defined it.But today, our once-mighty aeronautics industry is a shadow of its former self. It may come as a surprise, but American aircraft manufacturers no longer build planes—they just assemble them. U.S. manufacturers are plagued by excessive outsourcing, a lack of economies of scale, and no vertical integration, resulting in poor quality, exorbitant costs, delays, and catastrophic failures—doors falling off mid-flight, engines catching fire, and landing gear failures. We want to change that. So we started Sorian. Our vision is audacious but clear: build a family of next-generation aircraft that are affordable, fuel-efficient, and result in a very low total cost of ownership. We see a world where owning a private jet is no longer a dream but an everyday reality—safe, reliable, thrilling, and within the reach of an average family. We see a world where intercontinental passenger jets can fly from San Francisco to Tokyo in 1.5 hours instead of 11.We see a world where our military training jets can be dual-use—both piloted and autonomous—training our forces for the threats of today and tomorrow, not the threats of 1985.All fuel-efficient, easy to fly, with a drastic increase in time between overhauls. But the path to get there is far from direct. It is complex, treacherous, dangerous, and not for the faint of heart. Internally, we estimate our chances of success to be less than five percent. Every day, we come to work with the goal to improve our odds.

We are builders

Engineers, scientists, and pilots who have built and contributed to some of the most advanced aerospace and software systems in the world—engines that push the boundaries of propulsion, reusable orbital-class boosters, cutting-edge computer vision, and large-scale autonomous systems—the kind of technology you've likely seen making headlines.

Tenets

Affordability and Value

Affordable to buy and affordable to own. We optimize for the lowest cost per flight hour by reducing fuel consumption and tripling time between overhauls.

Software at the Core

Aircraft are now software-defined. Autonomy, avionics, and continuous updates are as fundamental as airframes and propulsion.

Clear Path to Scale

Success requires navigating three risks—technical, regulatory, financial. We solve all three in parallel to build the next great aerospace company.

Run it Hotter. Run it Faster.

Our modus operandi: design it, build it, push it to the limit, break it, fix it—repeat. Rapid iteration is the only way to advance aerospace.
